Social Justice Club

The Social Justice Action Team is a group of students in grade 7 & 8 that discuss and form action plans for problems we face in our community. At Christmas, students coordinated "blessing bags" for the homeless of our community, and delivered them to the Peterborough Emergency Youth Shelter.  They are currently planning awareness projects around such subjects of: mental health, girl issues, tolerance and inclusivity. These are students who truly want to make a difference in our world!

Student Council

Student Council is a form of student government to help foster leadership opportunities for students in Grade 7 and 8. Any interested student forms the student council and elections are held in the Fall for executive positions. Student Council helps organize Spirit Days, dances, Inter-murals for students in Gr. 1-8, assists with school based fundraising and much much more.

Gymnastic Club

Gymnastics club is held once a week for any interested student in Gr. 5, 6 and 7. Students put out mats and explore and practice a wide variety of gymnastics moves. Students then progress to putting movements together to develop short routines. Students often learn from one another and help support one another in progression of skills and movements.

Card Club

Attention future card sharks! Playing Card Club is a social group activity held during recess that engages the students, provides opportunities to expand number sense, practice facts, and develop visualization skills. Games that use playing cards and dice can help support students' learning about numbers and mathematical operations. Students are currently focussing on the skills and quick math involved in games such as Blackjack, Texas Holdem, Euchre and Crib.

Homework Club

Students in Grade 1 to 8 work in a small group setting to complete unfinished classroom work after school with the help of an assistance from school staff. This club is available on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45 to 4:15.

The Lego Club

the Lego club meets once a week during lunch hour. Members enjoy building a variety of structures on their own, or cooperatively with others. Lego club gives students a chance to build friendships with students who share their interest in lego, and develop group work skills. While the lego club has a supply of bricks we are always happy to accept donations of pre-loved lego!

Intramurals are organized by the student council and support games and activities to be played by students in Grades 1 to 8 in the gym or on the school yard at recess. These games are designed with fun in mind. Staff even get in on the action often playing as a team against the students!
